Wachabteiling Zeist

On August 1, 1943, the WACHABTEILUNG (Guard Unit) was established and stationed in Zeist. The German occupiers were short on personnel, partly because so many men had to go to the front and work in Germany. Through this poster, they tried to recruit staff for this service. The main tasks consisted of guarding companies and other entities that were important to the Wehrmacht.
