FLAK Amsterdam Porceleyn Celebration plate

Original and amazingly well-preserved FLAK ‘Delfts Blauw’ porceleyn celebration plate.

In Amsterdam the 19th German FLAF (Fliegerabwehrkanone) brigad was stationed. It’s mission was clear: Shoot down Allied planes coming from England.

And at a celebration, they got this plate.

It tells a curious tale of how the Amsterdam Andreas crosses were used (abused?) in relation to a Nazi regiment.
