De Stormmeeuw – Sept 1943 Nr. 9

September 1943 Edition

De Stormmeeuw, 9th year no. 9, September

The Nationale Jeugdstorm / De Stormmeeuw

From its founding in 1934 until the end of the war, the Jeugdstorm was formally independent.

In practice, it was an affiliated organization of the NSB, with as leader (Hoofdstormer) C. van Geelkerken.

The association magazine, De Stormmeeuw, appeared from 15 November 1934 until April 1945. Especially the 1939/40 volumes and the final issues from August 1944 onward are very rare.

The colorful uniforms, flags and standards, as well as marching and singing, had a strong influence on many youths.

The Jeugdstorm also formed an alternative for members of the scouting movement, which was banned in 1941.

Nice condition.
