EXTREMELY RARE – Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler at a Dutch Roadblock

Original wartime photograph showing vehicles of the Waffen-SS division LEIBSTANDARTE ADOLF HITLER passing through the driveable section of a Dutch roadblock.

Particularly interesting is the clearly visible registration plate of the SS vehicle directly in front. Other photographs known to us showing this particular detail are not known, making this an exceptionally interesting image for collectors of the Waffen-SS, the German invasion of the Netherlands and the May 1940 campaign.

The photograph was taken by G. d’Alquen, SS Kriegsberichter, one of the SS war correspondents accompanying German forces during the campaign.
