Nazi-Era VW Beetle Promo
Porsche’s People’s Car
Special edition of the STUTTGARTER ILLUSTRIERTE (1938?)
Illustrated magazine promoting the so-called KdF VOLKSWAGEN. Through a savings system with a minimal weekly deposit in RM (Reichsmark), anyone could afford this practical car.
It was designed by FERDINAND PORSCHE and would later be called the BEETLE.
Due to the outbreak of the war, public production of the Beetle was halted and shifted to military vehicles like the Kübelwagen.
Unfortunately, the public lost their deposits!
This magazine is extremely large! 38 x 54 cm; printed on thin paper, so very few copies exist.
Worn along the folds, which have been reinforced with acid-free tape. Small damage on the front cover.
Extremely rare!
