Original issue of De Nederlandsche Politie, the official journal of the Kameraadschapsbond (November 1942 – May 1945), the organization representing the Dutch police under German occupation during the Second World War.

The magazine promoted the National Socialist ideology of the occupying authorities and contains numerous articles on police-related subjects, often illustrated with photographs and drawings. Today, it serves as an important historical source for researchers studying the Dutch police during the occupation.

Particularly valuable is the section "Officiële Mededelingen" (Official Notices), which contains extensive personnel appointments, transfers and other administrative changes, providing a wealth of information for historians and genealogists.

This issue remains complete and is in good condition, showing the typical vertical fold from wartime postal distribution. The puzzle on page 347 has been completed in pencil by hand, adding a small piece of contemporary usage history.

The magazine was published twice monthly between 1943 and 1945 and printed by De Arbeiderspers in Amsterdam, a printing house responsible for producing much of the printed material for the SS during the occupation.

The wartime role of the Dutch police remains highly controversial. In particular, members of the so-called Schalkhaar-trained police units became notorious for their active participation in the persecution of resistance members, black market traders and, above all, Jews, making publications such as this an important primary source for understanding this period.
