Not a Money Box, but a Birthday Tradition

The intention was for money to be deposited into the box throughout the year, with the contents collected after the recipient’s birthday. It was hoped that a substantial additional amount would be contributed during the birthday celebration itself.

A rare piece of ephemera that makes a perfect companion to one of these birthday collection boxes.
