OZO Resistance Graffiti
OZO “Orange Shall Triumph”
Original photograph from the NSB photo service.
Even a telephone booth was used to express anti-German and anti-NSB sentiment.
Very clearly, and apparently in great haste, the abbreviation “OZO” (“Orange Shall Triumph”) was chalked onto a telephone booth, with beneath it the famous hammer and sickle, symbol of the communist movement.
The NSB attempted to reclaim the abbreviation OZO by changing its meaning to “Victory Without Orange,” but the propagandistic effect remained limited — too late and not convincing.
