Passierschein – Safe Conduct

Very effective weapons!

During World War II, the Allies created "Passierschein" or "Safe Conduct" flyers as part of their psychological warfare strategy. These leaflets were dropped over German-occupied areas to encourage enemy soldiers to surrender. The flyers typically promised safe passage and protection from harm if the soldiers laid down their arms. By offering a way out, the Allies aimed to weaken German morale and reduce resistance. These flyers often bore messages in both English and German, sometimes signed by high-ranking officers, to add authenticity and credibility.
