Original British flat pressure igniter, specially used for sabotage purposes by the SOE (= Special Operations Executive), a kind of British secret service in WWII. Even long after WWII, these igniters were still used. Original wartime production!

When the weight is removed from the igniter, the flat bracket flips up, releasing the pin that strikes the percussion cap.
