Cotton Sack from Trawniki Camp

Absolutely original sack from the TRAWNIKI labor camp. This camp was named after the small Polish village of TRAWNIKI, located near SOBIBOR.

Set up in July 1941 as a reception camp for Russian prisoners, by summer 1942 it detained Jewish forced laborers. From September 1943 to May 1944 it functioned as a labor camp for Jews. On 3 November 1943, more than 6,000 Jews from TRAWNIKI were executed.

This camp was overseen by the SS. It also served as a training camp for guards assigned to other camps.

One of the most infamous “TRAWNIKI men” was the notorious DEMJANJUK.

The sack is made of cotton and in excellent condition. Does not fluoresce under UV light! Dimensions: approximately 47 × 61 cm.
