Original press photograph showing the funeral of D. van Dijk, a police officer serving with the Dutch State Police (Staatspolitie) in Zaltbommel. He was the local commander of the Marechaussee in Zaltbommel.

Van Dijk was assassinated by the Dutch resistance because of his involvement in actions against people in hiding and Jews.
