Wolchow Monastery Tower Observation

Original photo of a member of the Wehrmacht (?) making observations through a Scherenfernrohr. Photographed near Leningrad, at the extreme north of Lake Peipus.

From this moment, a photo also appeared in the SS magazine Das Schwarze Korps, September 1941 (DSK issue Not included).

The observers stood at the highest point of the tower behind the monastery. (See photo!)
