1943 Grebbeberg Commemoration

Original photo of the Heldengedenkdag on 21 March 1943, on the Grebbeberg in Rhenen.

The text on the back speaks of “fallen Germanic fighters.” Meant are: Dutch and German soldiers who were killed in the May days of 1940.

The photo was taken at the moment the salute is being given.
