Seyss‑Inquart Museumplein
Museumplein Troop Review
Original photo of Seyss‑Inquart inspecting assembled German police troops. Although “Malieveld” is written on the reverse, the location is the Museumplein in Amsterdam, identifiable by the two buildings visible in the background (see comparison: https://www.amsterdamstreetside.nl/OnePagers/20052005-04-30P4300010.htm).
Between 1940 and 1942, several gatherings and parades took place on the Museumplein with Seyss‑Inquart present. His office was located nearby, in the building that is now the American Embassy. He is accompanied in the photo by two high‑ranking police officers, including General Schuhmann and an SS‑Gruppenführer.
